How does the protein in Collagen+ differ from other proteins?Updated a year ago

The primary difference between collagen and other forms of protein are the amino acids. Collagen contains a different spectrum of amino acids than traditional protein sources like whey or vegan protein. Collagen is higher in amino acids arginine, glutamine, glycine and proline, and is lower in essential amino acids (that our bodies cannot make on their own), like tryptophan, valine and leucine, but collagen. One of the important amino acids collagen contains is hydroxyproline - something that is not in other types of proteins. Hydroxyproline is necessary for protein synthesis. This means that without it, our body absolutely cannot build or repair tissues. We need a full spectrum of amino acids to produce healthy levels of hormones.
